Fun Facts:

  1. Runners will summit some of the oldest mountains in Oregon (older than the more “popular” peaks such as Mt Hood, Mt Jefferson, etc)
  2. The Forest Service re-commissioned 1.5 miles of an old abandoned logging road that connected two trails which allowed the development of the 50K loop the 100 mile course does twice. A special “Thanks!” goes to Trans-Cascadia (a mountain biking race) that spent many hours clearing this 1.5mile section as well as other sections!
