Fun Fact: You have the choice to traverse the diverse landscape on ski, bike or just your feet, although there has been a finisher on a kick sled and one on a unicycle. At certain points along the course you can be ~40 miles to the nearest road, so everything is snowmachine supported. Participant numbers are capped because the remote cabins can only support so many people. Most years there is a 1 in 2 chance of getting into the race.
