Fun Facts:

  1. The first 2 years running were by invite only, maxed at 15 people, and were self-supported efforts. This consisted of filtering water from streams and walking into town to grab Subway sandwiches.
  2. The Virginia Creeper Trail is an old rail right-of-way dating back to the 1880’s. The railway was completed through Whitetop, VA (33 total miles) in 1912 and was used to transport lumber, goods, and passengers.
